Presentation of Bills

The Hon. Minister of Water Supply & Drainage and Chief Government Whip of Parliament moved the following Bills:-

1. Housing Development Finance Corporation Bank of Sri Lanka (Amendment)
(to amend the Housing Development Finance Corporation Bank of Sri Lanka Act, No.7 of 1997.)

2. Prevention of Money Laundering (Amendment)
(to amend the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, No. 5 of 2006.)

3. Convention on the Suppression of Terrorist Financing (Amendment)
(to amend the convention on the Suppression of Terrorist Financing Act, No. 25 of 2005.)


Main Business of the House for Today

Following Items (appearing as Item Nos. 1 and 2 of today’s Order Paper) were moved in the House:-

• Order under the Code of Criminal Procedure (Special Provisions) Act - adjourned
• Regulations under the National Environmental Act - passed as unopposed Business


Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Incident took place in Navanthurai in Jaffna” was moved by the Hon. A. Vinayagamoorthy.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1552 Hrs. until 1330 Hrs. on Friday 9th September 2011.
