Business Passed in the House Today


At the commencement of Public Business on behalf of Prime Minister & Minister of Internal Administration, and Deputy Minister of Defence, Public Security, Law and Order, the Chief Government Whip presented the Bill entitled “Finance Leasing (Amendment)”.

Secondly, the Minister of Higher Education presented the Bill entitled “Gampaha Wickramarachchi Ayurveda Teaching Hospital (Transfer)”.

The Leader of the House of Parliament moved a motion to extend the time period of the Select Committee of Parliament to investigate and recommend steps to be taken to prevent man-made disasters.

Then Hon. K.V. Samantha Vidyaratne introduced a Bill to incorporate “Olagangala Maha Sudarshana Paropakari Foundation”.

The Computer Crimes Bill was considered and passed by the House as an Unopposed Business today.

The Adjournment Motion on the Special Debate held in British Parliament on the 2nd May of 2007 regarding the current situation prevailing in Sri Lanka was moved by Hon. Wimal Weerawansa.

The House was adjourned at 1700 Hrs.
