The Hon. Edward Gunasekara was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled “Ranjith Aluvihare Foundation (Incorporation)”.

The Hon. Sarathchandra Rajakaruna was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled “Sri Lanka Semata Setha Foundation (Incorporation)”.


Main Business of the House for Today

The following items (appearing as Item Nos. 1, 2 and 30 of today’s Order Paper) were passed by the House:-

(i) Department of Coast Guard Bill (with amendments)
(ii) Supplementary Sum - Head 114 - Programme 2 (Ministry of Transport)
(iii) Rev. Moonamale Dhammarathana Memorial Foundation (Incorporation) Bill


Motion at Adjournment Time

Motion at Adjournment time on “Lack of Facilities at Rajarata University Medical Faculty” was moved by the Hon. Musammil Mohamed.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1458 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Friday 10th July 2009.
