Presentation of Papers
(i) Regulations made by the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization and National Policies under Section 20 of the Imports and Exports (Control) Act, No. 1 of 1969 amended by Acts, No. 48 of 1985 and No. 28 of 1987 read with Sections 4(1) and 14 of the aforesaid Act and published in the Gazette Extraordinary No. 2326/40 of 06th April 2023.

The Report of the Committee on Public Finance was presented by the Hon. (Prof.) Ranjith Bandara, a member of the Committee.

Main Business of the House for Today
The following Items (Item Nos. (i) and (ii)) were approved by the House.:-
(i) Continuation of the Adjourned Debate on the Resolution for the implementation of the arrangement under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for Sri Lanka - Division was taken (120 in favour; 25 against)
(ii) Inland Revenue (Amendment) Bill - with amendments

The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1902 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Tuesday 9th May 2023.
