The following items (appearing as Item Nos. 1 to 5 of today’s Order Paper) were passed by the House:-

(i) Two Resolutions under the Customs Ordinance
(ii) Two Orders under the Special Commodity Levy Act
(iii) Supplementary Sum – Head 293 - Programme 2 (Ministry of Plantation Industries)

Item No. 32 "Adam’s Peak Kalpawaruksha Development Foundation (Incorporation) Bill — Second Reading" was also referred to the Standing Committee (Legislative) ‘A’


Motion at Adjournment Time

Motion at Adjournment time on “The quality of the Southern Highway Bridges” was moved by the Hon. Gayantha Karunathilake.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1548 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Thursday 11th June 2009.
