Presentation of Papers by the Speaker
• The First Instalment – Part XIV of the Report of the Auditor–General for the Financial Year 2012;
• The First Instalment – Parts XI ,XII and XIII of the Report of the Auditor–General for the Financial Year 2013; and
• The First Instalment – Part III, Second Instalment – Part XIII and Fifth Instalment – Part VI of the Report of the Auditor–General for the Financial Year 2014
in terms of Article 154(6) of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
Parliament granted approval to print the Reports.

Performance Reports of the;
(ii) District Secretariat, Hambantota for the year 2015
(iii) Attorney General’s Department for the years2014 and 2015

Private Members’ Bills
The Hon. K. Kader Masthan was granted leave to introduce the following Bill, entitled
“Berty Dissanayake Foundation (Incorporation)”
The above Bill was referred to the Minister of Social Empowerment and Welfare for report to Parliament under Standing Order 47 (5).
Main Business of the House for Today
Registration of Deaths (Temporary Provisions) (Amendment) Bill
was passed by the House with amendments.
Motion at the Adjournment Time
Motion at the Adjournment Time on the “Not-holding the Local Government Election” was moved by the Hon. Bandula Gunawardana.
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1830 Hrs. until 1030 Hrs. on Friday 26th August 2016.
