Business in the House Today


At the commencement of Public Business today, the following items were passed by the House;

1. That this Parliament at its rising this day, do adjourn until 09.40 a.m. on Wednesday, 07th November, 2007.

2. An extension of time till 21st May, 2008 for the Select Committee of Parliament to look into the alarming increase in traffic accidents.

The Emergency Motion was passed with a majority of 120 votes, extending it for another month with effect from 02nd November 2007. 124 votes were cast in favour of the motion while 4 votes were against it.

The House was adjourned at 1637 Hrs.
