Ministerial Statements
Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government, the Hon. Faiszer Musthapha made a ministerial statement in reply to a Question raised under 23(2).
Private Members’ Bills
The Hon. K. Kader Masthan was granted leave to introduce the following Bills;
(i) Jam’iyyathus Sahwa Al-Khairriyya (JASKA) (Incorporation)
(ii) Sri Lanka Sethsewa Foundation (Incorporation)
The above Bills (i) and (ii) were referred to the Minister of Post, Postal Services and Muslim Religious Affairs and Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine respectively for report to Parliament under Standing Order 47 (5).
Main Business of the House for Today
Regulation under the Wages Boards Ordinance
was passed by the House.
Adjournment Questions
Two Adjournment Questions were asked by following Members of Parliament:-
(i) The Hon. Nihal Galappaththi
(ii) The Hon. (Dr.) Nalinda Jayathissa
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1845 Hrs. until 1330 Hrs. on Friday 12th February 2016.
