Votes of Condolence
Votes of Condolence on the following Ex-Members of Parliament were taken up and completed:-
(i) The Late Hon. M. B. A. Azeez
(ii) The Late Hon. D. M. Seneviratne
Presentation of Bills
The Hon. Leader of the House of Parliament moved the Bill entitled
“Buddhist Temporalities (Amendment)”
to amend the Buddhist Temporalities Ordinance (Chapter 318).
Private Members’ Bills
The Hon. (Mrs.) Hirunika Premachandra was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled
“Abhimani Social Development and Cultural Foundation (incorporation)”
The above Bill was referred to the Minister of Social Empowerment and Welfare for report to Parliament under Standing Order 47 (5).
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1418 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Tuesday 9th February 2016.
