Hon. (Dr.) Nalinda Jayathissa,—To ask the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine,—

(a) Will he inform this House—

(i) the  names of the Teaching Hospitals in Sri Lanka at present;

(ii) of the Medical Faculties of the Government Universities that are provided clinical training through each Teaching Hospital;

(iii) whether a private hospital known as “ Dr. Neville Fernando Sri Lanka – Russia Friendship Teaching Hospital” is in operation in Malabe;

(iv) whether that private hospital has been granted permission by the Ministry of Health to be called a Teaching Hospital; and

(v) if so, whether the document granting such approval would be Tabled?

(b) If not, why?
