Hon. (Prof.) Ashu Marasinghe,— To ask the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) as to when the actions would be fulfilled as per the promise given by the government in connection with the operation of electric trains in Sri Lanka;
(ii) whether the plan of the project of running electric trains has been completed;
(iii) if so, what the progress of that project is;
(iv) the amount of money expected to be invested to make that project a success;
(v) the methodology through which that amount of money is expected to be raised; and
(vi) the date the project is expected to be completed?
(b) If not, why?
