Hon. Bimal Rathnayake,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs,—(1)
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) whether there is an agreement or a letter of understanding with the government of China regarding a Special Chinese Industrial Zone linked to the Hambantota Port said to have been agreed upon during the Prime Minister’s visit to China as declared by the government;
(ii) if so, whether that document will be tabled;
(iii) the preliminary conditions of the establishment of the said Special Chinese Industrial Zone and as to how it is managed; and
(iv) whether he submits a map of the land identified for the said industrial zone?
(b) If not, why?
