Hon. S.M. Marikkar,—To ask the Minister of Energy,— (1)
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the quantity of crude oil and refined oil imported by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation from the year 2022 to 2024, separately in each year;
(ii) whether the prescribed procurement procedure was followed in importing the said oil;
(iii) if not, of the reasons for it;
(iv) of the quantity of crude oil and refined oil purchased as emergency purchases during that period, separately in each year; and
(v) of the financial difference between the purchases made through emergency purchases and the purchases made through the normal procurement procedure?
(b) If not, why?
