Hon. Ashok Abeysinghe,— To ask the Minister of Transport and Highways,—
(a) Will he inform this House—
(i) of the total length of railway lines in Sri Lanka;
(ii) separately, of the length of the Coastal Line, the Main Line, the Kelani valley Line and the Puttalam Line;
(iii) separately, of the number of unprotected level crossings on each of the aforesaid railway lines;
(iv) of the steps that have been taken so far, to upgrade aforesaid unprotected railway crossings to protected railway crossings?
(b) If not, why?
