Premitha Bandara Tennakoon,— To ask the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious & Cultural Affairs and Minister of Urban Development & Housing,— (a) Is he aware that the appointment of Mr. Mohan Peiris, who was appointed by the President of the time as the Chief Justice on the date of 15th January 2013, was cancelled and nullified? (b) Will he inform this House of the person who cancelled and nullified Mr. Mohan Peiris’s appointment as the Chief Justice? (c) If not, why?
