Hon. M. Joseph Michael Perera,— To ask the Minister of Ports and Highways,—
(a) Will he inform this House —
(i) the total estimated cost for the project to construct the new container terminal at Colombo harbour ;
(ii) out of this total cost, the amount to be met locally;
(iii) the amount to be met through foreign funds;
(iv) the sources of funding of the aforesaid project;
(v) out of the total cost, the amount being received as loans;
(vi) the names of countries granting loans, the relevant interest rates and the loan repayment periods;
(vii) the timeframe for the completion of the entire project ?
(b) Will he state the method of recruiting workers for the activities of the aforesaid project ?
(c) If not, why ?
