0275/2019: RENAL PATIENTS OF MONARAGALA DISTRICT: DETAILS

Hon. Padma Udhayashantha Gunasekera,— To ask the Minister of Health, Nutrition & Indigenous Medicine,—

(a) Will he inform this House—

(i) the number of renal patients that have been reported in Moneragala   district by now;

(ii) the number of patients that have died due to the renal disease during the last five years;

(iii) the hospitals in Moneragala district in which clinics are conducted  for renal  patients at  present;

(iv) the number of patients that have registered themselves in the aforesaid  clinics during the last five years;

(v) accordingly, the Grama Niladhari Divisions  in which a  larger  number of renal patients can be found in  Moneragala  district; and

(vi) whether a detailed report of the action taken by the government in the years 2016 and 2017 in regard to these renal patients and the prevention of this disease will be presented?

(b) If not, why?
