• Debate on the no-confidence motion against the Minister of Health from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm on both days

It was decided today (Sep. 5) in the Committee on Parliamentary Business held under the patronage of Speaker Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, to debate the Inland Revenue (Amendment) and Social Security Contribution Levy (Amendment) Bills tomorrow (6) and the next day (7) in the afternoon.

Accordingly, tomorrow (6) from 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm and the next day (7) from 4.30 pm to 7.00 pm, the second reading debate of said two bills will be held. It has also been agreed to hold the vote on the second reading of the two bills on Thursday (7) at 7.00 pm. Then the committee stage and the third reading of the two bills are scheduled to be held till 7.30 pm.

Also, it has been decided to forward the Questions for Oral Answers on these two days to another day and accordingly, it has been decided to debate the no-confidence motion against the Minister of Health from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm on these two days. As previously decided, the debate on the no-confidence motion will be held on Friday the 8th and the vote is scheduled to be held at 5.30 pm.
