Secretary General of Parliament Mrs. Kushani Rohanadeera informs that Member of Parliament Hon. Chamal Rajapaksa participated in the voting with regard to the Resolution for the implementation of the Domestic Debt Optimization to restore the sovereign debt sustainability which was passed by a majority in Parliament recently (Jul. 01).

The Secretary General further confirms that the reports published by the media about Hon. Chamal Rajapaksa not being present in the chamber at the time of the division pertaining to the above resolution are completely inaccurate. Furthermore, Hon. Rajapaksa has voted in favor of the resolution, the Secretary-General stated.
