PARLIAMENT

A Russian delegation led by Mr. Sidorin Sergei, Minister of Economic Development and Industries of Vladmir region of Russia and Mr. Kurganskii Ariatolii, Head of Administration of Kameshkovo District, in Vladmir region, met the Deputy Speaker Hon. Ajith Rajapaksa at Parliament recently (Feb. 17). Hon.  Madhura Withanage, Member of Parliament, was also present at this meeting.

There was a discussion about increasing the number of Russian tourists coming to this country as well as increasing the investment opportunities in Sri Lanka and developing bilateral relations. Minister of Economic Development and Industries of Vladmir region said that as a friend of Sri Lanka, Russia is expected to provide maximum support.

Following the discussions, the delegation toured the Parliament premises.

Mr Buddhapriya Ramanayake, Chief Executive Officer of Russian House in Colombo was also present on this occasion.
