PARLIAMENT

The Parliamentary Staff - Inter-Departmental Softball Cricket Tournament 2023 was won by the 'One to One' team led by Ramesh Malinda.  'Diyawanna Riders' team led by Pradeep Ranatunga was the runners up of the tournament.

The annual cricket tournament organized by the Parliamentary Sports Club was held this year at the G.H. Buddhadasa Grounds, Battaramulla.

The championship of the women's cricket team was won by the "Golden Flames" team led by Githani Vidanapathirana. Team "Parliament Angels" led by Nilakshi Dharmadasa was the runner-up in the women’s category.

A friendly match was held between the teams consisting of Members of Parliament and the organizing committee of the tournament was also held in which the team consisting of Members of Parliament emerged victorious.

Hon. Ajith Rajapakse, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament and a group of Hon. Members of Parliament, the Secretary General of the Parliament Mr. Dhammika Dasanayake, the Chief of Staff and Deputy Secretary General Ms. Kushani Rohanadeera and the Heads of the Departments of the Parliament and other staff members were also present on this occasion.
