PARLIAMENT

Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana, Speaker of Parliament announced to the House that Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, Member of Parliament, has also been nominated to serve in the National Council.

Furthermore, the Speaker announced that Hon. M. Rameshwaran, Member of Parliament, has been nominated to serve in the National Council to fill the vacancy occurred due to the resignation of the Hon. Jeevan Thondaman, Member of Parliament, from the Membership of the National Council.

The next meeting of the National Assembly is scheduled to be held tomorrow (Oct. 06).
