As the third session of the Ninth Parliament is scheduled to be ceremonially declared open by the Hon. President on August 3rd 2022 at 10.30 am, the Secretary General of the Parliament Mr. Dhammika Dasanayake informs all the Hon. Members in writing to attend the occasion.

The Secretary General informs that the following documents related to the commencement of the third session of the Ninth Parliament have already been uploaded on the official website of the Parliament.

Accordingly, the Gazette Extraordinary No. 2290/35 dated 28.07.2022, containing the Proclamation    issued by the Hon.  President proroguing the second session of the Ninth Parliament, the Order paper of Parliament in respect of the ceremonial opening of the third session of the Ninth Parliament and the Memorandum pertaining to the said day can be obtained through the Parliament website, the Secretary General said.
