PARLIAMENT

His Excellency the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa arrived in Parliament today (07) at 10.15 a.m.

H.E. the President joined the debate while members of the government and opposition were expressing their views, following the presentation of the Surcharge Tax Bill by the Prime Minister for the second reading in Parliament.

Member of Parliament Dr. Harsha de Silva expressed his views on behalf of the Opposition on the Surcharge Tax Bill. The President was also present during the Committee Stage of the Bill.
