A programme from Parliament to the Central Bank |

As part of a series of programmes organized by the Department of Communication of Parliament, to raise awareness on the business and process of Parliament, a special program for a group of officials of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka was successfully concluded recently. The programme briefed the officials of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka on Committee on Public Finance, the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) and the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) essential for the officials present.
Ms. Kushani Rohanadheera, Chief of Staff and Deputy Secretary General of Parliament spoke on the role of Parliament and Mr. Tikiri K. Jayathilake, Assistant Secretary-General presented a brief introduction on the Parliamentary Committee System. Mr. H.E. Janakantha Silva, Director Legislative & Director Communication (Acting) briefed the officials on the Legislative process and the process drafting Bills.
Launched by the Department of Communication with the aim of disseminating accurate knowledge and information about the Parliament of Sri Lanka, this series of programmes is set to be conducted online as well and via outbound programmes with various government institutions and schools.
