PARLIAMENT

H.E Koo Yun Cheol, Minister for Government Policy Coordination of South Korea called on Speaker Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena at the Parliament complex recently (01). Ambassador of South Korea to Sri Lanka H.E Jeon Woonjin was also present at the meeting.

Discussions were held on the steps to be taken to further strengthen bilateral relations between the Governments of South Korea and Sri Lanka. The South Korean Minister for Government Policy Coordination stated that the Government of South Korea will continue to support the economic and cultural development of Sri Lanka. The Speaker said that the co-operation of friendly countries, including South Korea, was essential to resolve the issues currently facing Sri Lanka.

Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of South Korea Ryoo Dae Young and a delegation were also present at the occasion. Assistant Secretary General of Parliament Mr. Tikiri Jayatilleke was also present.
