PARLIAMENT

The Department of Serjeants-at-Arms of the Parliament of Sri Lanka celebrated International Women's Day this morning (08) to coincide with the celebration of International Women's Day 2022 under the theme “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow” by the United Nations.

Led by the Serjeant-at-Arms Mr. Narendra Fernando, and the participation of the Deputy Serjeant-at-Arms Mr. Kushan Jayaratne and the Assistant Serjeant-at-Arms Mr. Achintha Cooray, the services of all the female officials attached to the Serjeant-at-Arms Department were appreciated at this event.

This is the first time that the Serjeant-at-Arms Department has celebrated such an occasion to coincide with International Women's Day.
