31.    Ministerial Consultative Committee on Development Strategies and International Trade

Each Ministerial Consultative Committee shall consist of the Cabinet Minister in charge of the relevant subject as the Chair, State Minister, Deputy Minister and five (05) other Members of Parliament to be nominated by the Committee of Selection to discuss and report upon such matters as are referred to it in terms of Standing Order 112 of the Parliament;

The quorum of each Ministerial Consultative Committee shall be three (03) Members.

(ii)    Committee on Public Finance

That notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order 121.(1) of  the Parliament, the Chair of the Committee on Public  Finance  shall be elected by the Committee itself, among the Members of the Opposition, as per the decision taken on 22nd January, 2019 by the Committee of Selection


Adjournment Motion

Adjournment Motion on “Daily basic wage of Rs. 1000/- for estate workers” was proposed by the Hon. Anura Dissanayaka.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1646 Hrs. until 1030 Hrs. on Friday 25th January 2019.
