(i)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Internal Administration and Public Management was presented by the Hon. S. Shritharan, member of the Committee on behalf of the Chairman of the Committee, the Hon. Gamini Lokuge.

(ii)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Economic Development was presented by the Hon. M. A. Sumanthiran, member of the Committee on behalf of the Chairman of the Committee, the Hon. Harshana Rajakaruna.

Ministerial Statements

Minister of Agriculture, Rural Economic Affairs, Livestock Development, Irrigation and Fisheries & Aquatic Resources Development, the Hon. P. Harrison replied to the Question raised by the Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksa under the Standing Order 27(2) of the Parliament on 22.01.2019 regarding 'Sena' caterpillar issue in Agricultural sector.


Main Business of the House for Today

Debt Conciliation (Amendment) Bill (appearing as Item No. 1 of today’s Order Paper)

was passed by the House with amendments.


Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on "Development of livelihood of fishing community in Mannar and Pallimunai” was proposed by the Hon. I. Charles Nirmalanathan.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1912 Hrs. until 1030 Hrs. on Thursday 24th January 2019.
