Presentation of Bills
The Hon. Gayantha Karunatileka, the Chief Government Whip presented the Bill entitled
“Sri Lanka Electricity (Amendment)”
to amend the Sri Lanka Electricity Act, No. 20 of 2009.
Private Members’ Bills
The Hon. Vijitha Herath was granted leave to introduce the following Bill, entitled
“to amend the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka”
The above Bill was referred to the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs for report to Parliament under Standing Order 52 (6) of the Parliament.
Main Business of the House for Today
Rules under the Post Office Ordinance
was approved by the House.
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1656 Hrs. until 1000 Hrs. on Thursday 6th September 2018.
