Presentation of Bills

The Hon. (Dr.) Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, the Minister of Higher Education & Cultural Affairs presented the Bill entitled

“General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (Special Provisions)”

to lay down the national policy relating to the absorption of students registered with the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine to the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University established under the Sri John Kotelawala Defence University Act, No.68 of 1981 and to provide for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto

Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Financial crisis faced by Rural Banks in Habaraduwa and other areas” was proposed by the Hon. (Dr.) Ramesh Pathirana.
