(i)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Transport and Communication was presented by the Hon. J. C. Alawathuwala, member of the Committee on behalf of the Chairman of the Committee, the Hon. Chamal Rajapaksa.

(ii)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Manufacturing and Services was presented by the Hon. Sandith Samarasinghe, member of the Committee on behalf of the Chairman of the Committee, the Hon. Nalin Bandara Jayamaha.

Ministerial Statements

Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government, the Hon. Faiszer Musthapha replied to the Question raised by the Hon. Anura Dissanayaka under Standing Order 23(2) of the Parliament on 25.11.2017 regarding the postponement of Local Government Election and Foreign tour of Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government.

Today is the Sixteenth Allotted Day of the Appropriation Bill (2018) – “Committee Stage Debate”.

Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Compensation for the people affected due to the construction of Sooriyawewa-Meegahajandura road” was proposed by the Hon. Nihal Galappaththi.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1924 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Wednesday 29th November 2017.
