Privileges

The Hon. Leader of the House of Parliament moved the following Privilege motions and these were referred to the Committee on Privileges under Standing Order No. 127 of the Parliament -

(i)    That the question of privilege arising out of the matter raised by the Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, M.P. on 07th November, 2017 in Parliament to the effect that his privileges have been infringed.

(ii)    That the question of privilege arising out of the matter raised by the Hon. Ajith P. Perera, M.P. on 22nd November, 2017 in Parliament to the effect that his privileges have been infringed.


Main Business of the House for Today

(i)    Appropriation Bill (2018) - Committee

Today is the Fifteenth Allotted Day of the Appropriation Bill (2018) – “Committee Stage Debate”.

The following Items (appearing as Item Nos. 2 and 3 of today’s Order Paper) were approved by the House:-

(ii)    Annual Report and Accounts of National Child Protection Authority - 2013
(iii)    Annual Report and Accounts of Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment - 2013


Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Harassment caused by monkeys, porcupines etc. to residents of some villages in Kandy district” was proposed by the Hon. Ananda Aluthgamage.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1934 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Tuesday 28th November 2017.
