(ii)   State Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing Corporation of Sri Lanka for the year 2015

(iii)    Annual Performance Report of the Ministry of Labour, Trade Union Relations for the year 2016


Presentation of Reports from the Committees

(i)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on International Relations was presented by the Hon. Ajith P. Perera, member of the Committee on behalf of the Chairman of the Committee, the Hon. Ranjith Aluvihare.

(ii)    The Report of the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Women and Gender was presented by the Chairperson of the Committee, the Hon. (Dr.) (Mrs.) Thusitha Wijemanna.

Ministerial Statements

Minister of Development Assignments and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Tilak Marapana replied to the Question raised by the Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena under Standing Order 23(2) of the Parliament on 20.09.2017 regarding actions the Government would take to refute statement against Sri Lanka, issued by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Prince Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein


Presentation of Bills

The Hon. Gayantha Karunatileka, the Chief Government Whip presented the following Bills entitled-

(i)    Anti-Dumping and Countervailing Duties - to provide for the investigation and imposition of Anti-Dumping Duties and Countervailing Duties with regard to products imported into Sri Lanka and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto
(ii)    Safeguard Measures - to provide for the conduct of Investigations and the Application of Safeguard Measures on products imported into Sri Lanka; and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
(iii)    Fisheries (Regulation of Foreign Fishing Boats) (Amendment) - amend the Fisheries (Regulation of Foreign Fishing Boats) Act, No. 59 of 1979


Main Business of the House for Today

(i)    Appropriation Bill (2018) - Committee

Today is the Fourteenth Allotted Day of the Appropriation Bill (2018) – “Committee Stage Debate”.

The following Items (appearing as Item Nos. 2 to 7 of today’s Order Paper) were approved by the House:-

(ii)    Annual Report and Accounts of the Employees’ Trust Fund - 2014
(iii)    Annual Report and Accounts of the National Transport Commission - 2013
(iv)    Annual Report and Accounts of the Sri Lanka Transport Board - 2012
(v)    Annual Report and Accounts of the National Transport Commission - 2014
(vi)    Report and Accounts of Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka - 2014
(vii)    Annual Report and Accounts of National Transport Medical Institute - 2013


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1847 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Monday 27th November 2017.
