Private Members’ Bills

(i) The Hon. Anura Sidney Jayarathne was granted leave to introduce the following Bill, entitled

“Palitha Thewarapperuma Foundation (Incorporation)”

(ii) The Hon. Kanaka Herath was granted leave to introduce the following Bill, entitled

“Study Centre for the Advancement of Technology and Social Welfare (Incorporation)”

The above two Bills (i) and (ii) were referred to the Minister of Social Empowerment and Welfare and Minister of Foreign Affairs respectively for report to Parliament under Standing Order 47 (5) of the Parliament.

Adjournment Motion

Adjournment Motion on the “COPE report presented to the Parliament on 28.10.2016” was moved by the Hon. Anura Dissanayaka.

The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1930 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Wednesday 25^th January 2017.
