Ministerial Statements
(i) Minister of Finance, the Hon. Ravi Karunanayake replied to the Question raised by the Hon. Anura Dissanayaka under Standing Order 23(2) of the Parliament regarding the Leasing facilities to purchase motor vehicles for 58 MPP who are engaged in monitoring the development activities of the government
(ii) Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade, the Hon. Malik Samarawickrama replied to the Question raised by the Hon. Douglas Devananda under Standing Order 23(2) of the Parliament to make aware the House before agreements of various nature are entered into with foreign countries

Appropriation Bill (2017) - Second Reading (Adjourned Debate) (appearing as Item No. 1 of today’s Order Paper)
Today is the Sixth Allotted Day on the Second Reading Debate of the Appropriation Bill (2017).
Second Reading of the Appropriation Bill (2017) was passed by the House. A Division by name of the Hon MPP was taken. 162 were in favour while 55 were against it.
The Appropriation Bill (2017) was referred to the Committee of the whole Parliament.
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1753 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Saturday 19th November 2016.
