Presentation of Bills

The Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, Minister of Higher Education and Highways and the Leader of the House of Parliament moved the Bill entitled

“Value Added Tax (Amendment)”

to amend the Value Added Tax Act, No.14 of 2002.


Main Business of the House for Today

Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on the “Declaration of Bandaragama, Kindelpitiya and Baduvila wet land as an environmental conservation zone” was moved by the Hon. (Dr.) Nalinda Jayathissa.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1916 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Wednesday 5th October 2016.
