Presentation of Bills
The Hon. Minister of Finance moved the Bill entitled
“Fiscal Management (Responsibility) (Amendment)”
to amend the Fiscal Management (Responsibility) Act, No. 3 of 2003.
Private Members’ Bills
(i) The Hon. Mohamed Navavi was granted leave to introduce the following Bill, entitled
“Ameer Ali Foundation (Incorporation)”
The above Bill was referred to the Minister of Social Empowerment and Welfare for report to Parliament under Standing Order 47 (5).
(ii) The Hon. (Dr.) (Mrs.) Thusitha Wijemanna was granted leave to introduce the following Bill, entitled
“Sri Lanka Association for Child Development (SLACD) (Incorporation)”
The above Bill was referred to the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine for report to Parliament under Standing Order 47 (5).
Adjournment Motion
Adjournment Motion on the “problems faced by the people in the North and the East” was moved by the Hon. Rajavarothiam Sampanthan.
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1853 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Tuesday 21st June 2016.
