Ministerial Statements
Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development, the Hon. Sagala Ratnayaka replied to the Questions raised by;
- Hon. Anura Dissanayaka regarding the problems related to the prevailing criteria of the promotional prospects of Police Officers in the Police Department
- Hon. Douglas Devananda regarding the Social degradation incidents in Jaffna
Private Members’ Bills
The Hon. S. C. Mutukumarana was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled
“Sethsada Yoga Nikethanaye Karya Baraya (incorporation)”
The above Bill was referred to the Minister of Social Empowerment and Welfare for report to Parliament under Standing Order 47 (5).
Main Business of the House for Today
Resolution for the appointment of the Constitutional Assembly
was passed by the House with amendments.
The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1820 Hrs. until 1030 Hrs. on Thursday 10th March 2016.
