Committee on Public Accounts

House agreed to a Motion moved by the Leader of the House of Parliament that notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order No.125 of the Parliament and the resolution adopted by the Parliament on November 04th, 2015, the Committee on Public Accounts shall consist of twenty six (26) Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection.

Committee on Public Enterprises

House agreed to a Motion moved by the Leader of the House of Parliament that notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order No.126 of the Parliament and the  resolution adopted by the Parliament on November 04th, 2015, the Committee on Public Enterprises shall consist of twenty six (26) Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection.

Committee on Public Petitions

House agreed to a Motion moved by the Leader of the House of Parliament that notwithstanding the provisions of Standing Order No.128 of the Parliament and the resolution adopted by the Parliament on  November 04th, 2015, the Committee on Public Petitions shall consist of twenty two (22) Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection.

Committee on High Posts

House agreed to a Motion moved by the Leader of the House of Parliament that notwithstanding the provisions of the Standing Order No. 128A of the Parliament and the resolution adopted by the Parliament on October 08th, 2015, the Committee on High Posts shall consist of fifteen (15) Members to be nominated by the Committee of Selection.


Adjournment Motion

Adjournment Motion on the “Bill entitled 'Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (Amendment)' which was passed on 12.02.2016” was moved by the Hon. Dinesh Gunawardena.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1830 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Tuesday 8th March 2016.
