Ministerial Statements

The Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Foreign Affairs replied to the Questions under Standing Order 23(2) raised by the Hon. Douglas Devananda, regarding Granting of common amnesty for Tamil political prisoners.


Private Members’ Bills

The Hon. Chathura Sandeepa Senaratne was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled

“Sri Lanka Association for Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (incorporation)”

The above Bill was referred to the Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development for report to Parliament under Standing Order 47 (5).

Today is the Tenth Allotted Day of the Appropriation Bill (2016) – “Committee Stage Debate”.

Resolution under the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka

was passed by the House.


Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Suitable method for protection of child rights” was moved by the Hon. (Dr.) Nalinda Jayathissa.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1900 Hrs. until 0930 Hrs. on Friday 4th December 2015.
