Presentation of Papers by the Speaker

(i) The Fourth Instalment–Part X and the Sixth Instalment–Part XXI of the Report of the Auditor–General for the Financial Year 2012;

(ii) The Second Instalment–Part XIII and XIV, the Fourth Instalment–Part V and the Fifth Instalment–Part I of the Report of the Auditor–General for the Financial Year 2013; and

(iii) The Fourth Instalment–Part I of the Report of the Auditor–General for the Financial Year 2014

under Article 154(6) of the Constitution of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

Parliament granted approval to print the Reports.

Ministerial Statements

The Hon. Ranil Wickremesinge Prime Minister and Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs made statement in the House on the Interim economic policy of the government.


Private Members’ Bills

The Hon. Abdullah Mahrooff was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled

“Markas Sakafathul Islamiyya (incorporation)”

The above was referred to the Minister of Post, Postal Services and Muslim Affairs for report to Parliament under Standing Order 47 (5).


Main Business of the House for Today

The following Items (appearing as Item Nos. 1 to 6 of today’s Order Paper) were passed by the House:-

(i) Order under the Excise (Special Provisions) Act
(ii) Three Resolutions under the Customs Ordinance
(iii) Notification under the Excise Ordinance
(iv) Regulations under the Imports and Exports (Control) Act


Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Relocating land slide victims” was moved by the Hon. Velu Kumar.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1930 Hrs. until 1330 Hrs. on Friday 6th November 2015.
