The Hon. M. S. Thowfeek was granted leave to introduce the Bill, entitled "Bareerah Muslim Ladies Arabic College (Incorporation)".


Main Business of the House for Today

Following Items (appearing as Item Nos. 1 to 7 of today’s Order Paper) were passed by the House:-

• Four Orders under the Special Commodity Levy Act
• Resolution under the Customs Ordinance
• Two Regulations under the Motor Traffic Act



Motion at the Adjournment Time

Motion at the Adjournment Time on “Fixing of gates for insecure railway crossings” was moved by the Hon. Arundika Fernando.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1802 Hrs. until 1300 Hrs. on Thursday 20th September 2012.
