(ii)    The Report of the Committee on Public Finance was presented by the Chairman of the Committee, the Hon. M. A. Sumanthiran.

Presentation of Bills

The Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Leader of the House of Parliament presented the Bill entitled

“Debt Conciliation (Amendment)”

to amend the Debt Conciliation Ordinance (Chapter 81).


Main Business of the House for Today

The following Items (appearing as Item Nos. 1 to 4 of today’s Order Paper) were approved by the House-

(i)    Finance Bill - with amendments
(ii)    Three Orders under the Excise (Special Provisions) Act


Adjournment Motion

Adjournment Motion on “Release of prisoners detained under PTA” was proposed by the Hon. M. A. Sumanthiran.


The Parliament was, thereafter adjourned at 1709 Hrs. until 1000 Hrs. on Friday 26th October 2018.
